Draw Something top app in just 7 weeks

Draw Something inspired by the old fashioned Pictionary game became world’s top application in just 7 weeks. On February 1^st draw something was live and within no time people all over the world was downloading the new game. Now after 7 weeks the game is downloaded 35 million times and it’s also the top downloaded free app in 85 countries across the world.

On the launch date of Draw Something, there were on average already three drawings every second.  This is the first game that is doing so well for OMGPOP, they were in the beginning struggling with other games but it all didn’t became such a success.  It took the OMGPOP team years to produce such a major hit worldwide, it was the 35^th game created by them. There is no guarantee that it will produce another top application under the umbrella of Zynga. On the other way OMGPOP also learned a lot of new things of this new experience and may come up with another great game.

OMGPOP is sold way to early by Zynga and may have left as much as $800m on the table according to Simon Khlaf, the CEO of mobile analytics provider Flurry.
