Doritos - Draw Something

You might have noticed that among the words, such as ‘tree’ and ‘sun’, there are also (popular) brands and their products.
This is part of an advertising campaign and a innovative and clever way to strengthen a brand, because users have no idea they are actually ‘drawing ads’. KFC, Doritos and NHL are already participating in this new way of advertising.

If this drawing-ads-model is a success than it could also be a good opportunity for smaller companies to strengthen their brand, because when users have to draw/guess a word or in this case a brand they do not know they will search it on the internet and a result could be more traffic to the website.

Draw Something Update

The new update of Draw Something is finally here! You are now able to add comments, save your drawings and share them on Facebook or Twitter!

Adding comments

Adding comments is a way to increase the social aspect of Draw Something. You are now able to say how good or bad your opponent’s drawing is in the ‘Drawsome’ screen. It is also a threat for the guessing aspect of the game, because it gives unfair players (‘writers’) another opportunity to write their word in the comments.

Saving drawings

Instead of making a screenshot of your phone’s display you are able to save your drawings to your phone with one click of a button. That way you never lose your favorite drawings!

Sharing drawings

You are able to share your drawings on Facebook and Twitter within Draw Something  so you don’t have to quit the game first.

Do you think that Zynga has listened to the community with this update or were you expecting other improvements?

Draw Something On The Kindle

Draw Something, the most popular game since Angry Birds and Wordfeud, is finally available for Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet. The Kindle Fire is the second most popular tablet on the market.

The game is exactly the same as on other platforms (full updated) and you can download it from the Amazon Appstore for free!

So you can finally compete with those players who only play on iPad and make great drawings yourself on the bigger screen!

Maybe Blackberry and Windows are next? Who knows?
