A question we have already received quite some times: How do you change your picture on Draw Something? And why do people have pictures on their profiles?
How to change your Draw Something Picture:
Well the answer to this question is: The picture is linked through your Facebook account, that is also the only way to change your Draw Something picture. So you cannot change it in ‘Draw Something’ itself. You really have to use Facebook for this.

Hi, I’ve changed my profile picture on my facebook, but the profile picture on my Draw Something has not updated to the new one. I’ve tried all sorts of things, including deleting and reinstalling the app, disabling the app and re-authorizing the app on my facebook. But nothing seems to work.
Let me know if you have any solutions.

I started playing DrawSomething with an anonymous account but after a while I decided i’d just use my Facebook account in order to get a profile pic.
Just like Mike I have spent several minutes re-installing the app, reauthorising it, changing my profile pic in Facebook and jumping through all sorts of loops and I simply can’t get this app to recognise my profile picture. All I have is the default DrawSomething pencil avatar rather than my own picture.
For a game that makes so much money, you guys really need to get your act together and pull your finger out. Update the game and get the profile pictures working correctly. Not that tough.

Yup, ive been having the same problem too. Trying to get my profile pic to update and its not happening. What can i say, clearly the folks at draw something just don’t give a shit at all about this problem. not one bit
Just Remove the app from ur iphone or ipad and again install t. Dont worry your recorde is gonna be save. and if u bought the app again dont worry , u can install it free. :)

I agree. I quite like Draw Something but am not on Facebook (and don’t wish to be). Shame.

Yes, it is frustrating that you have to have a Facebook account to have a picture in your profile. Not all of us are on Facebook people!!!
I really want my profile pic on draw something to change to my current profile on Facebook but it won’t work! I wish I could change it but I don’t know how. I’ve changed my profile pic on Facebook but I wont change. I really wish there could be an update or something done to fix this. Thanks.
Here’s what I’ve found out…if you did not sign up for DS using your FB account you can’t get a profile pic on DS. I signed up for DS using just an email account and then later tried to link it to FB and no go…So to get a profile pic on DS I will have to delete/redownload and then sign up as a new account using my FB account…and I’m not going to do that. So my DS account pic will just have to be that lovely pencil…

I don’t have a facebook account and I want a picture but i don’t think you can without a Facebook account. :(
Has anyone run into this problem. While drawing a screen comes up saying your almost out of ink. Then another screen comes up saying drawing was sent because you were out of ink.

Draw Something should have a button in settings where you can change your profile picture without having a Facebook. I don’t use Facebook, so. This app would be a lot cooler with that setting.
Not on Dorkbook either. So I guess a cool picture is a no-go for me too. Major bummer :(
Would love our pics as an avatar. The wife and I share a Facebook. She don’t want my pic and I don’t want hers. Only options on this whole thing is change password. You guys are way smarter than this. Help!
And by the way. If you do decide to go through your facebook account you also have to agree to allow draw something to have access to all your data whenever they feel like it. Seriously. I thought I wanted my picture on there, now I’m ok with that little pencil.
I truly thought this app was perfect the next “mega hit” so to speak. With restrictions like having to GIVE IT UP to facebook (which is enough in itself to make people walk away) as well as not being able to edit your profile, it opens it up to other developers to give the app customers what they are asking for.
The developers of DS are creating their own competition.

Given that the “good deed” performed by Draws creator is all over the news(he hired back all of the employees that were previously laid off because company was doing so poorly, and then rehired them all after Draw was to be sold), give the new owners a second to fix minor glitches, such as a profile picture! Nancy, you don’t.
Read the comments above. If you didn’t sign in with a Facebook account (IE, you created one) then you can’t change it.
Such a shame really as this is a basic task that most apps like this already have.
I agree; lots of other applications are doing it so how hard can it be? When I go to OMGPOP and register, I can upload a profile photo and other photos. Why can’t that just be linked to Draw Something? What’s the benefit of registering on OMGPOP if the profile info isn’t linked to Draw Something?
SOLUTION FOUND!!! (as of April 24, 2012)
all i did was delete the app, your data will NOT be lost!@! (unless you never registered) go to your facebook, select the pic you want as your Draw Something pic, by defaulting that pic on your facebook. Position it in icon mode, and then once you finished with the facebook part, redownload the app and you should see your new icon once you finish a round with a buddy of yours =O)

I think it should look for a gravatar pic if you don’t have a Facebook account. (Very easy to implement compared to Facebook implementation)
well I just created gravatar account on same email address on which im playing the game, uploaded the pic. still not getting pic in game
Any way to minimize letters so u can view the whole drawing??
I don’t think you can minimize the letters, but you can slide the drawing up and down a little when you’re guessing
I originally signed up with a regular account, then changed to Facebook, yet I still don’t have a profile picture. How can I get it to sync up?
You can change Facebook picture . Just delete the draw something app . Redownload it and then log in with face book. . This worked for me . I hope it helps
Hmmm, I too have tried to link to my FaceBook page. Shows up on my FB page as an app. But will not post my pic on Draw Something no matter what I try!
Also – even more strangely – it shows me as playing against myself 10 times – with my pic???
I did what Yesenia suggested. Changed profile pic in fb, then uninstalled game, reinstalled game (all current games were saved) and did a round, and it was changed. And quit it w/ the crying and cursing at the developers over a stupid profile pic…jeeeeeze. :P
Unfortanetly, I don’t have a Facebook account. I’m pretty sure I speak for everyone when I say this: THERE SHOULD BE AN IN-GAME PROFILE PICTURE OPTION
If you havent gotten it yet i believe i have figured it out…..i had the same problem too couldn’t change my profile pic well what i did was delete the app from my phone then went into facebook in the App settings you remove the app from you facebook and go back onto the Play Store and re-download it. Try it worked for me. If that doesn’t work then im sorry
Yeahhhh my profile pic on draw something has been the same for so long, and now I don’t really like it. And it’s my dog, but I want people to see me, so that they know that IM ONLY ELEVEN so that guys will stop going on and saying I look horny, and drawing penis!! Yahh. And I have no idea how I’m supposed to changes pic.
I hope I’m not the only one that thinks this but I feel it is bullshit that to have a picture you have to hook up your Facebook account. First of all I don’t have a Facebook and I don’t want one I just wish that I could do anything with apps or the intetnet with out being presured it to get a facebook

I’m only 9 and adult do stuff that I would never know what they mean so I mostly play with my friends and I want them to see what I look like during the summer. And ask peeps who have an icon how they did it maybe they didn’t have to use Facebook.
