Is Dan Porter an angel?

Dan Porter, CEO OMGPOP, isn’t such a bad guy after all. In a previous post he calls an employee a failure on Twitter, but little did we know that before this incident he helped former employees to still earn money from Draw Something so their effort wasn’t in vain.

Back in the days OMGPOP wasn’t doing so well with their Facebook games. Dan Porter was forced to lay off some employees for financial reasons. Soon after that the company launced Draw Something and it was a big succes. Over 35 million downloads in just over 6 weeks! This caught Zynga’s attention and they bought OMGPOP, but before the sale was official Dan Porter rehired all the employees he had just laid off so they could also benefit of the merger.

Dan Porter sets an example for other game publishers, such as Electronic Arts (recently voted the most evil corporation of America)!
